Creme Brew Lait is a coffee shop and initiative to bring “snob coffee without the attitude” to Alabama. The owners moved here from Alaska in 2021, and have been on a journey to provide the best coffee – and the best service – in the state since then. We have amazing recipes, but what keeps people coming back is the experience – in part the coffee, but with a healthy sprinkle of human connection. 

Our baristas are the face of this initiative. We expect them to be knowledgeable about our product offerings, helpful, patient, and kind in assisting customers, and efficiently make delicious, high quality drinks. They are the walking, talking representations of the Creme Brew Lait brand. 

In order to work at Creme Brew Lait, you need to like three things:

1. Connecting with people (your teammates, and your customers)
2. Making and drinking coffee (this is the second biggest part of your job, who trusts a chef who doesn’t eat?)
3. Light cleaning & prep (We like to keep our little space clean and well-stocked).

We are looking for someone who…

• Is passionate about people and coffee.
• Shows up with a good attitude every shift.
• Is hardworking and happy to be a part of a team.
• Is willing to follow directions from managers.
• Is punctual.
• Looks forward to coming in to work, and takes pride in their work.
• Is available to work Saturdays and afternoons. 

Here’s how the interview process works:

1. Phone interview – 10-15 minutes. Let’s see if there’s a mutual fit! If so, we’ll set up:
2. In-person interview – 30 minutes. Let’s talk about your experience and our culture. From there:
3. Shop intro – 30 minutes. Test your hard skills, run through some scenarios, meet the team, and see what your work environment will be like.
